Thailand and the Kids

Yesturday was a great day in Bangkok for me. Deanna and a couple of the helps and I went down to the Slums area of Bangkok and taught children in that area a lesson and played with them. It was a lot of fun working with them. It was funny because they all were trying to talk to me in Thai thinking that i understood them. it was cute, because they were learning English as well as i was learning Thai. We played this one game call 7up one of the games i play with my kids in America and what you have to do is count to 7 and when it is 7 you put your hand on your head but during the 1,2,3,4,5,6 you point with your arm in the direction you want it to go. So we were playing it and before i was learning the numbers i know most of them but i say them in a different tone. so the kids were laughing lol it made me laugh because i knew i was saying it wrong but it was still fun because the would make the direction go to me all the time to hear me say it wrong lol. after all the games and fun i taught the lesson. it was a little hard to teach because Deanna had to intrupt for me after every sentence so for me i kept forgetting where i was at in my lesson lol. it was still fun and i think that deanna interpt is better then i said it so i am good lol. it was fun playing with them afterwards. after the first slum we went to the other side of town. this was what you can call THE SLUM. the kids were amazing but living in poor conditions. One little boy was getting sick and we prayed for him but you can tell that sickness is hard for a little kid like him. We got the kids together and taught the lesson it was fun with this group of kids because they were so much younger. After the lesson, we went back to the car and there was people wanting to talk to Deanna, she have alot of what you can say PR with the people there which is good. She told me that most of the Adult Christians live there. It was nice talking to them. One lady spoke English so she talked to me for a little asked my age and then told me i was cute. Saying Thank You. After talking, Deanna and the team went to a really Thai Resturant. IT was Spicy but so good. I love the stick rice, it really fills you up alot. and we had this pork/herb thing. i was trying to remember the names but it was to hard.lloll. One thing i did like alot was this dessert call Kunna, i think, but it is a sweet dessert, this one was made with coccunts and with different fruit that i never had inside a chilled milk it was really good i want more. lol. It was a good time the two other works were teaching me some Thai and i was getting it but it was funny for them to see me try lol. Afterwards me and De went back to the apartment and relax and get things ready for Sunday Night in the Slums that is English night i am going to be teaching one of the group with Num (the bible school student) we are going to teach them shapes. I hope that i can do it. it is going to be hard without De there to interpt but i think that i can do it. Pray for me on that because it might be fursting for me and them but i know through God i can. O the sleeping thing. Much better i am sleeping through the night now and waking up a little bit before 6 so that is not bad.... I hope that you like the pictures of the kids... check my facebook for more.
