English and Cell Group on Anger

After visiting the AG Book Store, i was a pretty normal day in the office. Did some work, worked on my paper for my GIS class. After a long day at work, De, Ami, Ami Mother, and I went to a new part of town. The town is a suburb of Bangkok. We were going to this woman's house in this small but big population community, where we were going to have a Kid's English/Bible Story lesson. It was so much fun being with these kids because they know some English. Like "What is your name" "How are you" "Fine and you?" It was fun because i am learning similar things but in Thai. So the kids in the beginning were teaching me Thai, and then Me and De started to teach them new things. First we played 7 up again but first in Thai and then in English. I was proud of myself being able to say the Numbers in Thai. I got them.. YES... Then we begin our lesson.  We were talking to them about the 5 w's (Who, What, Where, When, Why) This was so much fun to do, because me and De came up with a skit for it. I was sitting there mind my own business while De was telling them about Who. in Thai.. and then She took the WHO sticker and stuck it on me and was like WHAT was that for.. the kids laugh, she was like you are a who.. i was like OOOOOO... and then she said this is a what and slapped it on my cellphone that i was holding. And it went from there. It was fun for the kids to see De slap the things on things around me. After Telling them about the 5 W's, we played a game that i thought about in the office that day. We took sticker that were already made before in the office that said Who?WHat?Where? When? Why? and gave them to the kids. We told them that they had to go around the room and find where to stick the stickers. It was funny to see all 25 kids run around the room and stick sticker everywhere. Me and De had stick all over us. I had Who stickers and a couple of sticker that should have not been on me.. and De had a ton to of When's on her watch, and the house walls had a ton of Where. It was a great game to use. If i was a teacher i def. would use that game to teach my kids. Maybe God wants me to be a teaching overseas... i have been thinking about it. I love teaching them English. After we taught, the kids, if You remember in my last blogs about getting all those prizes from that lady, yes this is the group that we were getting them for.. the kids were so excited to get all the tickets and turned them in for amazing prizes. It was fun.. talking to the kids after the class. after the kids left we started to get ready for the adult cell group in the house. They sang some songs and then Ami's mom talked from the Pastor sermon that Sunday. It was about anger. At this point, i found out that Thai people even being so laid back really deal with more anger just being laid back them most people that are not. The anger that they were talking about was again one other. As i was sitting there, and De stop translating for me. I started to think to myself. I am not anger against anyone, but why do i feel anger in my life? I was thinking about my testimony that i just shared a couple minutes ago. You know.. i am not anger at anyone but i am anger still at myself for knowing what is right and choosing wrong. I asked God to show me and he did.. he showed me that the anger in my heart was the anger for doing wrong in my life. This anger provoked me to cut myself before, to form locked doors in my heart, and turn to more sin for comfort. This anger was indulging in my life and affect my relationship with God and people. I thought that i was over all the hurt, and i was but i was not over the anger toward myself. So at that moment in the middle of listening to Ami's mom i started to cry out to God to take this anger away from me. To take my anger and change it to love for myself. I am not going to lie to myself, it is going to take time, but after i prayed, felt this amazing warm of big arm wrapped around me. It is one of those amazing experience that God brings in your life to show that he is there for you. From there, i felt better and ready for anything. The devil has no place in my heart and anger is one of them. Freedom is what i look for, and i praise God for that everyday....
Eating that night with a BIG meal was great.. but to fulling for me.. i was ready to roll over and die lol. Driving back again with Ami in the car.. WE SO Want to talk to each other but we cant because of the language.. So as i learn one way she is learning my way. We made a promise through Deanna's help that in Two years i will come back being able to speak Thai and Ami speaking English. We shocked hands and i really feel that i will be back again knowing sentence in Thai.. that was the end of my night.. bed time now so that i can wake up at 6 to held to the Bible school today..
