My First day: That Changed my Life for Ever

Ok. So this is my week at Bai Yah. De and me got up early that morning to get everything ready to leave on Friday. We did all our business stuff like get things set for her class on Thursday that she was going to miss. So we went everywhere in Bangkok and traffic was so bad that we didn’t leave right when we wanted to but I got going. We had to go to the office to get something and pick up a missionary daughter Anna Wright that was joining us at Bia Yaih. I meet her and her parents talked for a little and then on our way on this five hours drive to Biah Yai in the Northern part of Thailand. The Trip was BEAUTIFUL. Rice fields everywhere and differently it was different from Bangkok. As we were driving on the roads I realized that Buda was everywhere. There was this one Buda on the hillside that was Whi

te and Beautiful it took up most of the mountain. There was another Buda that was being build and it was all Gold and I think that it was better then the Buda that I saw at the Temple. There

was one thing that I wish I didn’t see was a tuck full of pigs.

They were so cute but I know that they would be killed soon for meat. It was a nice drive there was Long but me and De talked about everything because Anna feel asleep. So then we got there is Bai Yahi and the first thing that we saw was a

Eson Cat lol I was like it looks like one of the cat you would see in a Chinese Restaurant. But anyways. We got into town and WOW. Culture shock set in. The town was small and there were people

everywhere. It was nighttime almost nighttime when we got there but still the town was small, so I thought. There was not really a road it was more dirt then road. We meet the pastor and some of the people from the church that were her family. Pastor Dich was her name and she seemed so sweet when I first meet her, but I was in so much shock with the town that I was quiet. I didn’t realize how much shock that I was going through. Mostly the reason I was going through shock was that I saw the bedrooms and shower and they were outside and where we were staying was a barn like Chruch with no AC or beds with a opened aired room where we were going to sleep and the kitchen was outside under and little covered thing. It was cute but diffently nothing that I would staying in. My expectation of the church was so different before I got there. So shock was big. I was happy to meet some of the kids there.

and Maih the friendliest kids that I meet before. I said hi to them and then brought all my stuff upstairs. I saw them again when I came downstairs and they gave me a handshake. I was like I am going to teach you a new handshake. De translated that for me. And I showed them a handshake and after that, that all they want to do was that handshake with me. It was my special thing with them. So after we got all settled in, Pastor Dich took us out to eat on the street. I love it because everything was everywhere and you could get anything for so cheap. I got Fried Rice because I was not feeling that hungry but it was good. After we walked back to the church and got ready for bed and that when I FOUND out the most blessed thing in my life. Western Towel and a shower inside the church. Lol the Pastor told us that we could use this one then using the one outside. so I was so so happy.. In this part of Thailand is it cultural to take a shower twice a day.. so I went to take a shower. The shower was just a hose with a little knob that you turn for the water… BUT NO HOT WATER. So cold shower. It was ok because I am use of cold water from swimming but man that was cold. The pastor before we got there put mats on the floor for us and there was a bed. So De and me slept on the bed and Anna was on the mats. Anna was smart because she used a Bug Net… In the next blog I will tell you why she was smart.
